When Star Radio approached us back in September, to take part in their upcoming 'Employment Show' we were in two minds. Obviously we are always up for a bit of promotion and it would mean a chance to do a lot of what we do best - talking. But would it be interesting enough? Who would be listening to the radio specifically to hear about Employment issues? Would it be upbeat and positive? Surely we've heard enough about the negative side of Employment over the last couple of years! We were quickly assured by the team at Star that we would be able to take control of the Recruitment section and talk about the things we felt were most important - in our own style. Once we'd made the decision to jump on board, we wanted to be sure we were in the company of like-minded businesses so that we would all compliment each others sections in the best possible way. With this in mind, we urged Star Radio to make contact with Katherine and Jason of Keeping HR Simple, our business associate for all things HR related. With the Recruitment side and now the HR side taken care of, Star Radio advised they had found someone perfect for the Training and Coaching section; Madeleine Morgan from Growu.

So, the Employment Show Team is complete!

• Emma and I will be covering everything Recruitment from both the candidate and clients perspective. From CV's to Interview advice, to 'Recruiting your first team member' and much, much more.

• The wonderful Katherine and Jason from Keeping HR Simple will be providing you with everything you need to know on the HR front, from taking on your first employee to managing and looking after the staff you've already got

• Madeleine from Growu will be covering everything from a training and coaching perspective, giving advice on how to be the very best you can be - as both an employee and and employer!

The Employment Show will be going out every Monday evening at 7pm, with the first show going out on Monday 31st October. You can listen on Star Radio 107.9/1 FM or you can listen online. Every show will be posted on our website each week so you can listen whenever suits you, as many times as you wish! We'll be looking for your opinion on the topics we're covering as well as your input on future topics you'd like to see covered. Contact us with your questions and we'll do our best to work through them as the show develops. We'll even give you a little shout out so be sure to listen for your name every Monday night!
